The
Amazon

The
Amazon is a great system of rivers and forest, which covers great part
of Brazil and also neighbor countries. The region is covered by several
rivers that are connected to the Amazon. The forest has a lot of secrets
hidden and because that people say that “Amazon is almost unexplored”.
Same studies estimate that 15.000 species of plants and animals have not
yet been classified, including thousands of birds and hundreds of mammals.
The most famous animals
of that region are the jaguar, tapir, spider monkey, alligator, river
dolphin, and toucans, parrots and hawks. Plus 1,800 species of butterflies
and fish like the piranha, tacunaré, pirarocu, and poraque. They are only
found there!
The worst part is that most of those animals are captured and sold in
Belém markets. Manaus is the capital of the Amazon State, which is
located between Rio Negro and Solimões. They join to form the Amazon
River. The city most potent symbol is the Amazonas
Theater, a famous opera house. It was designed by Domenico de Angelis,
an Italian, in renaissance style and built in 1896
